A Spray So Safe, We’d Drink It

At Frostin Farms, we believe that taking care of the land also means taking care of the people who live and work on it. That’s why we’re committed to using only the safest, most natural methods to grow food and care for our plants.

This summer, we created a homemade spray that tackles two of our biggest garden challenges: pests and powdery mildew. After watching a farmer drink his own pesticide on YouTube to prove its safety, we were inspired to do the same. So we blended up a recipe we feel good about—one we’d be willing to drink ourselves.

Made from simple ingredients like milk, garlic, cayenne pepper, and vegetable oil, our mid-summer spray helps protect our plants without putting our health—or yours—at risk. It’s tough on beetles, aphids, and mildew, but gentle enough to use around kids, pollinators, and produce.

We’ll keep sharing what we learn as we grow, and we hope this recipe helps other backyard farmers do the same—safely, naturally, and with confidence.
